Sustainable energy company Zelfstroom has taken over installation company Atama Solar Energy in Elst. Zelfstroom and Atama have been working closely together for years, specifically for installations in (South) East Netherlands. With the acquisition Zelfstroom strengthens its national installation capacity and reinforces its position as market leader in the field of solar panel rental in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands faces a huge sustainability challenge, while investing in home sustainability is financially not feasible for many households. It's these households that are hit hardest by the current high energy prices and need a solution. The rental solutions offered by Zelfstroom make sustainability accessible to more households. This also benefits the acceleration of the energy transition.
The acquisition of Atama is in line with the strategy of AutoBinck Group, the owner of Zelfstroom. That strategy also focuses on accelerating the decentralized energy transition. With this acquisition, Zelfstroom is prepared for the growing demand for solar panels in the Netherlands.
