Corporate mobility platform expands from three to ten European countries.
XXImo, the ultimate corporate mobility platform, is significantly expanding its team and adding three new senior managers to realise its international growth ambitions. On 1 September, XXImo is joined by Michael Grabmayer (46), Nick Pannell (56) and as of 1 October also Pieter van Mierlo (52). They will play a prominent role in the European expansion of the platform. The company is currently active in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. The platform will also be rolled out in the United Kingdom and Slovakia this year. In 2023, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and Poland will follow.
Impressive growth
Since its incorporation eleven years ago, XXImo has experienced impressive growth. The arrival of Grabmayer, Pannell and Van Mierlo is an important step to continue this growth and achieve European expansion. All three have an impressive international track record in the world of payments and mobility. Grabmayer will be Director of International Expansion and will be responsible for establishing XXImo in the new geographies. He previously held various positions at W.A.G. payment solutions plc, where he gained experience in entering new markets across Europe. As the Country Director for the UK, Pannell will take over management in these regions. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the fuel, fleet and mobility sectors, leading teams at Shell and BP, and later operating as a strategy consultant. Van Mierlo joins the Management Board as Chief Commercial Officer, meaning he will be responsible for managing the commercial teams and the new countries. He has also earned his stripes in the financial world, including at Equens, Worldline and ABN AMRO.
Patrick Bunnik, CEO and co-founder of XXImo:
"I’m extremely happy with the arrival of Michael, Nick and Pieter. We have ambitious plans for XXImo and I’m convinced they are the right people to realise our growth ambitions. All three bring with them crucial knowledge and experience that are necessary to make the further international roll-out of our platform a success. Although the corona crisis was also a difficult time for us, we opted for scaling up instead of scaling down. Now that working from home is the new normal, we see a huge mind shift at companies. Flexibility and sustainability in mobility have become more important than ever. We respond to this perfectly with our services. In addition, we benefit from the fact that we have chosen to use Visa as an international payment solution from day one. This makes us unique. I look forward to focusing on setting up the new local organisations in the near future, starting in the UK and Ireland. Other European countries will soon follow."
XXImo helps employers to become more flexible and simplified
XXImo is the all-in-one mobility platform for employers that brings together expenses management, international travel and mobility. With XXImo, employers can configure their entire mobility policy for all employees based on business rules. Within those rules, employees then have complete freedom to choose how they want to travel. With a wide range of smart payment solutions and a handy app, they can plan, book and pay for their travel every day - from public transport to hotel stays and from shared mobility to e-charging. Because all costs, payments and expenses claims are handled via a single platform, employers benefit from a single invoice with a VAT breakdown, a single report, a central insight into CO2 and a single contract with a supplier. In short: more grip and control for the employer and more flexibility for the employee.
XXImo was founded in 2011 as part of the AutoBinck Group - a Dutch family owned business that has grown to become one of the main players in the European mobility market, with a variety of ventures focused on mobility tomorrow and the more distant future. The company has a turnover of €1 billion, operates in eight European countries and has over 1600 employees.
