Reliable, easy and smart charging too
Charging the electric car is one of the most frequently mentioned bottlenecks among EV drivers. Nissan and EV Company are therefore joining forces to ensure that EV drivers can charge their car quickly and easily. For this purpose, they offer a smart charging system that is also designed for a future with dynamic energy prices, home batteries and home-generated electricity.
Nissan's fully electric line-up is growing rapidly. In addition to the Nissan ARIYA, Nissan LEAF and TOWNSTAR EVALIA, the brand also offers the TOWNSTAR VAN and INTERSTAR-e as 100% electric variants. In the coming years, the manufacturer will launch fully electric versions of the Qashqai and Juke and also introduce a new generation LEAF. This means that Nissan offers a total of seven fully electric models. A good and smart charging system is essential for all drivers.
Best support
Lars Ekering, Head of After Sales at Nissan Benelux: ‘More electric models means more electric drivers. And of course we want to offer them maximum support in choosing and installing charging stations, whether at home or at work. We have selected EV Company as a partner. This party offers much more than just a charging station: they also ensure smart integration with solar panels and possibly a home battery. This way, Nissan drivers benefit maximally from the smart charging options, such as avoiding high prices or extra costs for return delivery.’
Customization
The Dutch EV Company has been around for ten years and is committed to providing maximum relief to EV drivers and companies when switching to electric driving. To this end, it provides customised charging systems. EV Company has selected the charging systems of the Dutch Volt Time for Nissan EV drivers.
Volt Time supplies smart charging systems that are updated remotely to implement optimizations and new services. Volt Time charging stations can deliver up to 22 kW AC charging power. All electric Nissans are also available with a 22 kW on-board charger, which enables lightning-fast charging at home or at public charging points. The Volt Time system is smart and measures, among other things, the production of solar panels, so that the charging power can be dynamically adjusted and optimal use is made of solar power. It is also possible to choose periods with off-peak prices for charging.
Proud
Maarten Schuring, director of EV Company, is proud of the collaboration with Nissan: ‘Our focus is on offering the best charging solution for every Nissan EV driver, at every location. We believe it is important that the charging system is easy to use. With Volt Time, we supply smart technology in combination with user-friendly apps, so that the Nissan driver has control over the charging process.’
The Source 2 and Source 2 Pro are the two available charging stations from Volt Time. They can each charge up to 22 kW (3-phase), take into account the generated solar power and can handle dynamic energy tariffs to keep charging costs as low as possible.
