Fleet Support has signed a multi-year contract with Royal BAM Group. With a vehicle fleet of around 5,500 leased cars in the Netherlands, BAM has the largest fleet encountered by Fleet Support in its nearly 30-year history.
Fleet Support will use its Lease Rate Monitor (LRM) to keep track of the lease rates of all new lease cars deployed in the Netherlands, on BAM’s behalf. The LRM makes it possible to monitor the lease rates of newly-deployed lease cars and compare these rates to the price agreements BAM has established with its lease company. The LRM evaluates the various risk components of lease contracts – such as residual value, repairs, maintenance and tyres – and guarantees a fixed rate for these aspects. To do so, it relies on the Fleet Support database, which contains approximately 65,000 active lease contracts. As a result, Fleet Support is supplying an important building block for the implementation of BAM’s single-vendor strategy with regard to its lease and fleet management. This, in turn, enables BAM to realise significant benefits in terms of efficiency.
