AutoBinck Group is expanding its portfolio of sustainable companies through the acquisition of EV Company. Both parties are scheduled to sign the contract today. EV Company will be positioned within the Group’s Ebinck division.

Current CEO Maarten Schuring founded EV Company in 2014. From its offices in Aalsmeer, EV Company offers EV-charging solutions for both the corporate and private markets. EV Company provides advice, delivers, installs and manages charging solutions on behalf of its clients. Schuring has built the company into the nationwide player it is today. EV Company now supplies charging infrastructure to leasing companies and other businesses, including MKB Lease, Arval and ICLH; to large fleet owners such as Strukton, Spie and Plieger; and to numerous corporations and real estate parties as well. “I am pleased to have found a strong partner like AutoBinck Group for the next stage of EV Company's growth,” says Schuring, who will remain with the company as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Hans Kwaad, currently Chief Business Development Officer at AutoBinck, will take the reins as CEO of EV Company.

Synergy with Mobinck companies

EV Company is on the cusp of major expansion due to the massive increase in the number of EVs projected to take place in the coming years. Hans Kwaad: “The Netherlands is in the vanguard of Europe in this respect and the expectation is that surrounding countries will soon follow suit. Together, the expertise amassed by EV Company and the international presence and clout of AutoBinck will enable EV Company to develop into a leading player in Europe in the years ahead. By adding EV Company to our portfolio, we are also creating a great many opportunities in cooperation with the other AutoBinck ventures. We plan to capitalise on these within the Ebinck division, but also through our other Mobinck companies such as Fleet Support, Toogethr and Moove, as well as in our auto import and lease activities in Central Europe. The overlap between the energy and mobility sectors continues to increase, day by day. In short, there are a wealth of growth opportunities for EV Company, both in the Netherlands and abroad,” Kwaad concludes.

Asset for sustainability division Ebinck

Ebinck is the division of AutoBinck Group that focuses on broadening access to sustainability solutions such as solar panels and energy storage for private citizens and businesses. This division already includes the companies Zelfstroom and De Woonpas. “Adding EV Company to this list will empower us to take further steps towards the electrification and increased sustainability of households and businesses,” according to Martijn Koning, Chief Digital & Sustainability Officer at AutoBinck Group.
