Running for charity in Bratislava
Employees at Auto Palace in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia have successfully competed in the Wings for Life World Run. This worldwide running event raised funds for the Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation, an organisation dedicated to research in spinal cord injuries.
The Wings for Life World Run is made up as follows: half an hour after the start a so-called ‘catcher car’ sets off in pursuit of the runners. When the car, which is in fact a mobile finish, overtakes a runner, the runner’s race ends.
4.2 million euros
100,000 people worldwide entered the Wings for Life World Run, which was held in 35 countries simultaneously and raised 4.2 million euros. The turnout far surpassed the first event, held in 2014 (approx 35,000 participants).
