Online car retailer Bynco (Buy Your Next Car Online) has made it to the podium of two innovation awards. The start-up is one of nine winners of the social voting category for the prestigious Accenture Innovation Award. And to top it off, Bynco has also been selected as one of the ten Retail Rookies for 2017-2018 at the Retail & Brands Festival in Utrecht.

‘We went live six months ago and now we are already positioned among the most appealing innovators. Great, isn’t it?’, says Jeroen Veldman, General Manager of Bynco. The nomination for the Accenture Innovation Award is thanks to the huge response on the social voting for this award. People could cast their vote online for one of the close to 780 innovators in twelve categories. Bynco was selected for the category Seamless Travel & Transport, competing with a total of 80 candidates.

Social voting
Veldman: ‘With social voting in our category, we were among the candidates with the most votes, which is a sign of our growing popularity. At the Accenture Innovation Summit in October, we’ll be standing on stage as a winner, among the best of today’s innovators. That’s a huge boost for us, especially because being selected for the Accenture Innovation Award generates extra publicity, helping our brand awareness grow even further.’

Retail Rookie
Every year, RetailTrends selects ten businesses that see new opportunities, show courage and bring colour back to retail. A jury, with HEMA CEO Tjeerd Jegen among its members, has chosen Bynco as one of the ten Retail Rookies of 2017-2018. ‘At this year’s Retail & Brands Festival in Utrecht, we were able to present Bynco to an even broader audience. Here, too, we are among the best, most innovative retailers of this year. This is a special feat when you consider that we are a relative newcomer on the market. But that market has taken on a very traditional approach for many years and, in fact, still does.  We are a disruptor that has a radically different attitude towards the entire buying process of cars. Buyers can arrange the sale completely online: from selection and purchase to payment and delivery.  No visits to dealerships, no negotiation, fair prices, guaranteed maximum reliability, the car is delivered to the doorstep and you can then test drive it for 14 days. And, most importantly, the customer is in the driver’s seat!’

More visits to the website
The www.bynco.com website is attracting more visitors every day and the turnover figures are also showing a strong upward trend. In short, the car buyer is starting to appreciate the online convenience and experiences Bynco as a reliable, professional retailer, which is also apparent from the various customer reviews. By far the most buyers (more than 50%) visit the website outside the opening hours of car dealerships and companies. In fact, just recently a car was sold at eight minutes to one in the morning. Bynco proves that this online retail formula really hits the mark and that more and more people have no problem whatsoever buying their car fully online.
